ACRYL SP

Highly Impermeable Interior Coating for Autoclaved Aerated Concrete


ACRYL SP is a solvent based acrylic coating designed to provide an impermeable interior surface over AAC panels. As a result, application of ACRYL SP protects the AAC panels from high levels of water and chemical vapors inherent in industrial operations.

Preparation
All bases to receive ACRYL SP must be clean and free of grease, oil, dirt, paint, and other foreign residues. Block walls should have plaster or cementitious coating prior to application. Over panels, the joints must be filled with PANELBOND or FLEX W depending on their location.
Mixing The first coat shall be diluted with 30% mineral spirits (approximately 5 quarts). The second and third coats shall be diluted with up to 5% mineral spirits (approximately 1 1/2 pints).
Application Apply ACRYL SP in three coats. The first two coats may be applied with a brush or roller. The third coat is applied and textured by rolling with a neoprene foam roller.

Precautions This product contains solvents and must not be used on areas that are adversely affected by solvents. Use only in areas of good ventilation. Coating is flammable, therefore keep away from flames or ignition sources. Do not apply if temperature is expected to drop below 200F within 24 hours.
Drying Time Immediately after use, rinse tools with mineral spirits. Protect other surfaces from contact with coating.

Coloring ACRYL SP is available in a wide variety of standard colors. Custom color matching is available upon request.

Storage Under cool, shaded conditions, product storage is one year from manufacture. Store away from flames.
