ACRYTEX

Acrylic Textured Coating

ACRYTEX is a ready mixed, acrylic polymer based, coating for interior and exterior plastered surfaces.

ACRYTEX R has a 1.5mm aggregate which, when floated, produces a grooved finish texture.

ACRYTEX P has a 1.0mm aggregate which, when floated, produces a sand pebble finish texture.

Surface
Preparation All bases to receive ACRYTEX must be clean, and free of grease, oil, dirt, and other foreign residues.

Mixing Using a heavy duty 1/2" drill and paddle, mix until thoroughly blended. A small amount of potable water may be added if needed for workability.

Application Using a stainless steel trowel, apply ACRYTEX onto the wall to a thickness equal to the size of the largest aggregate After a few minutes float the coating using a plastic float, in a vertical, horizontal, or circular motion to achieve the desired texture.

Precautions Acrylic finish should not be used when there is high block moisture content, high humidity inside the building, or rising damp in the block. Such conditions can lead to damage of coating and block. To prevent cold joints, apply finish in complete areas and schedule stops at naturally occurring breaks and joints. Do not apply if temperature is expected to drop below 40^oF within 24 hours of applications.

Drying Time Drying time depends on temperature and humidity and normally dries within 24 hours.

Cleaning May be cleaned with water prior to drying. Protect other surfaces from contact with coating.

Coloring A wide range of standard colors are available. Custom colors are also possible.
