| Elastic Acrylic Sealant |
FLEX W is a premixed acrylic sealant used to seal the vertical joints in autoclaved aerated concrete panels. FLEX W provides a durable sealing of joints and will accommodate movements of up to 20%. The properties and packaging of FLEX W allow ease of application and a fast cure which are necessary for fast building with autoclaved aerated concrete.

Surface Preparation |
All bases to receive FLEX W must be clean and free of grease, oil, dirt, paint, and other foreign residues. For better adhesion, particularly on dusty surfaces, priming with ACRYL PRIME is recommended. After priming, a suitable backer rod is installed prior to FLEX W application. | |||||||||

| Application |
FLEX W is applied directly into the joint and smoothed over with a moist paint brush. Only the joints should be filled, not the angled bevel. | |||||||||
| Precautions | To prevent cold joints, apply coating finish in complete areas and schedule stops at naturally occurring breaks and joints. Do not apply if temperature is expected to drop below 40° F within 24 hours of application. | |||||||||
| Drying Time | Depending upon the temperature and humidity, FLEX W dries in 30 minutes to 2 hours. Total cure time takes 20 days. Wait at least 5 days before coating with finish. | |||||||||
