| Joint Filler and Adhesive |
Panelbond is a premixed, acrylic compound used for construction of buildings utilizing autoclaved aerated concrete panels. As a bonding compound, Panelbond is used to adhere horizontal panels together. It can also be used to close the horizontal joints by filling the joints between panels.
| Advantages |
One component for adhesion and joint filling Reliable adhesion High filling capacity Non shrinking Fiber reinforced Freeze thaw resistant High water and weather resistance Flexible Compatible with ACRYL M coating Easy to use polyethylene tubes |
|
Surface Preparation |
All bases to receive Panelbond must be clean, and free of grease, oil, dirt, paint, and other foreign residues. |
| Application |
For bonding, apply material in one line for panels up to 4 inches thick and in two lines for larger panels. For filling horizontal joints place material into chamfered joint area and smooth using a stainless steel trowel. |
| Precautions | To prevent cold joints, apply material in complete areas and schedule stops at naturally occurring breaks and joints. Do not apply if temperature is expected to drop below 40° F within 24 hours of application. |
| Drying Time | Depending on the temperature, humidity, and application thickness, drying time is 2 - 24 hours. |
| Cleaning | Immediately after use, rinse with water. Protect other surfaces from contact with coating. |
