BUILDING WITH AUTOCLAVED AERATED CONCRETE

Construction using autoclaved aerated concrete panels is a highly cost effective construction procedure particularly due to the speed of installation. We support this type of rapidly growing construction in the industrial and commercial sector with sealants and erection adhesives of the highest quality

Autoclaved aerated concrete panels are positioned either horizontally or vertically to fill the space between support structures made of steel or concrete, or as facades on the structures. The installed panels, not only provide structural preformance, but also discharge their own stresses and wind load pressures to the support frame.

ADHESION
Horizontal joints on autoclaved aerated concrete panels are made with a blunt or a groove design. The "dryinstallation" of a grooved end panel is both possible and permissible without adhesive. Blunt joined panels, however, require the adhesive, PANELBOND. Panelbond may also be used as a filler if closing the V shaped horizontal joints on the exterior is desired.

Vertical joints between installed autoclaved aerated concrete panels as well as connecting joints between autoclaved aerated concrete panels and other building materials must be filled with the joint sealant FLEX W. FLEX W has an elongation capability of up to 20%.

Panelbond is the adhesive made specifically for AAC.

Adhering the individual autoclaved aerated concrete panels using Panelbond is done in accordance with the guidelines of the autoclaved aerated concrete manufacturer. The adhesion of autoclaved aerated concrete panels to each other must guarantee minimal adhesion shear values which are required for structural performance. Panelbond accomplishes this and therefore enhances the quality of the structure by providing:

  • Reliable Adhesion.
  • Minimal shrinkage.
  • Frost resistance in winter conditions.
  • High filling ability.
  • Rapid drying.
  • A suitable surface for ACRYL M

  • PANELBOND is packaged in easy to handle polyethlyene tubes to facilitate use.
